Size Guide

Pony up to 14.2hh (up to 5’6″ rug)

Between 14.2hh and 15.3hh – short horse, I will need the measurement from the back of the saddle to the top of the tail to determine the length of back strap

Horses between 16hh to 16.3hh and above - I will need measurements.

Whether you require a pony or horse rump is more to do with the width of your horse’s bottom than the length of back.

 

Fitting

The Rump is attached to the saddle by three adjustable straps:

• To the girth straps either side; 
• To the back of the saddle - dependant on the type of saddle there are 3 options:
• To a leather ‘T’ that fits into the gullet of the saddle  (Standard gullet)
•  A metal bar or D attached directly to the back of the saddle
•  A double loop strap that fits around the saddle flap for saddles with neither a D nor standard width gullet.
